How it works

Emotion Indices and Daily “Weather”

Every day, MoodBoss calculates six basic emotions: joy, interest, calm, anger, sadness, and anxiety. Based on them, it builds two summary indicators — your daily Stress level and Life Energy level. They show what outweighs today: what drains your strength or what restores it.

Cycle and Emotional Weather

For those with a menstrual cycle, MoodBoss uses the day and phase of the cycle together with body and daily-routine data to connect textbook hormone curves with real life and build a highly personalised emotional weather forecast.

Diary and Emotion Fitting Room

MoodBoss lets you “try on” an event — a meeting, a talk, or a trip: visualise the plan and see how your Stress and Life Energy levels may change. This helps you understand in advance what format suits you best. Afterwards, you can make an entry in the emotions diary and compare the forecast with how you actually felt.

Tests, Activity, and Sleep

MoodBoss lets you connect sleep, activity, weight, heart rate, and — if you choose — lab results. These data are used to calculate emotions and the two indices, showing how biochemistry and daily routine shift the balance between Stress and Life Energy. The more complete your profile, the more personal your emotional weather map becomes.

MoodBoss AI Assistant

The MoodBoss AI assistant analyses your emotions, Stress and Life Energy levels, cycle, sleep, activity, and diary entries and answers “Why does today feel like this?” and “What can I do?”. It suggests several possible action scenarios before and after an event, always leaving the choice to you.

MoodBoss Science

MoodBoss is built on a transparent mathematical model of emotions. The calculations take into account hormones, age and body mass index, the day and phase of the cycle (for people with a cycle), sleep and physical activity, events of the day, nutrition and — if the user chooses — lab results. From this data, the model calculates every day six basic emotions, the levels of Stress and Life Energy, and builds a map of your day’s emotional weather.

  • Cycle and hormones. We use typical hormone curve patterns (oestrogen, progesterone, testosterone, cortisol, serotonin, prostaglandins) described in university endocrinology textbooks. For women, these curves are linked to cycle phases; for men and people without a cycle, they are linked to age and body composition. The model then connects this general hormonal background with your real body: lab results, sleep, workload, and stress levels. This is how dry tables become a picture of your body’s current state.
  • Personal state. Everyone has their own hormonal background — like the climate of the place they live. But how you feel on a given day is also shaped by events: poor sleep, a quarrel, a walk, a call from an important person, an exam you’ve passed. MoodBoss takes into account sleep, steps, heart rate, diary entries, nutrition, and lab tests so your emotional weather reflects not only a general hormonal background shared by millions with similar sex, height, weight, and age, but also your personal health indicators, events, and conditions of this exact day.
  • Open logic. We openly explain what data goes into the model and how it shifts emotions and the Stress and Life Energy indices. No black boxes and no magic: you can see what participates in the calculations and what stays outside the model.
